If customer has considered using H2 carrier gas and is not interested, quote for
detectors – you are unlikely to change their mind if they are not willing or able
to use H2 carrier gas.

The main advantages of H2 carrier are faster sample throughput available with
H2 and resulting increased productivity. This is possible because H2 has a higher
optimal velocity than that of He, so less efficiency is lost when using H2 at high
flow rates. This will be advantageous to busy labs and commercial labs who get

There are online tools available from Agilent and Restek which can help
customers with their revalidation work and experimenting with different
column lengths and diameters.

If customers simply wish to keep analysis time the same, revalidation is
relatively simple with only changes in carrier gas flow settings required. A good
supporting document outlining the steps required for this kind of revalidation is
the FAMEs analysis app note.

As far as hardware changes go, when switching from He to H2 we suggest that
customers change their septa, liners and tubing between the GC and generator.

offering better cell protection than the DI bag in their unit, they only offer 2 year cell
warranty, and cascading and auto water feed options are chargeable extras with LNI.

7x 9’s purity, however their technology is similar to ours and we have carried out
some offsite comparisons tests with no difference found vs the Precision H2 Trace.
